OUP Japan has thousands of titles at any one time. There are a variety of ways you can order titles from us.
- Individual Customers
- Order online -
You can order many of our products online and pay by credit card. Search for your product on our search page or browse our catalogue, and add items you wish to buy to your basket.
- Ordering from local retailers -
Oxford books and other products are available through most bookshops. If a title is not available at your local bookshop, they can order it on your behalf.

- Schools & Institution Customers
You can order via phone or email; make sure you have the product ISBNs that you want to order and your delivery address and payment details available.

- What are my payment options?
Customers can order online using credit card.
- Which credit cards are accepted?
Currently we accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and JCB cards.
- Will I get a receipt?
After you have completed your online purchase, you can download and print your receipt on the My Account page. Please note that you can download the receipt only once.
- How much will I pay for delivery?
400JPY including tax per shipment. For purchases over 10,000JPY excluding tax, or purchases of digital products or services, there is no shipping fee.
Please note we are unable to ship products purchased through this website (www.oupjapan.co.jp) abroad.
- How will you acknowledge my order?
After you have completed your purchase, you will receive an email confirming your order.
- When will my credit card be charged?
You credit card will be charged at the time your order is completed.
- Can I cancel or change an order?
Once an order is placed, the shipment process will start.
If the product you received is incorrect or damaged, you can exchange it for the correct one when a replacement is available. When a replacement is not available, you may return the item, and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item.
Please note that we are unable to exchange items or accept returns for reasons other than described above.
Please contact us at email@example.com and inform us that you wish to exchange or return an item quoting your Order Number within 5 business days of delivery. We will provide instructions on the process. Please note we will not accept return or exchange if we don't receive a request in advance.

- How can I order ebooks and online products?
Ebooks are available from many ebook retailers and institutional ebook suppliers, and are not directly sold by OUP. For an up-to-date list of ebook suppliers, visit http://www.oup.com/uk/academic/ebooks (updated by OUP UK).
You can buy personal subscriptions to many of our online products on this site, although please note that at the moment, these orders use a different shopping basket. Unfortunately this means that you will not be able to take advantage of any address information you may have stored in My Account, or view orders for online products in your account area. We hope to improve this process soon, and we apologize for any inconvenience. Institutional subscriptions to online products are not available for purchase through this website - please see the individual product pages for details of how to order, or visit Online Products and Publishing
- How can I tell whether a product is available?
If the title you wish to order is currently available at our warehouse, you will see a shopping basket icon on the catalogue page for that title.
- Can I order products that are not currently available?
No, you are unable to order products that are not currently available. You won’t see a shopping cart on the catalogue page for that title.
If an item is not available, it could be because, we may be waiting for more stock to arrive to our warehouse or the item may not yet be published. Please visit our website at a later date to check availability, or contact a bookstore in your area as they may have stock or can place an order form a distributor for you.
- I am a trade customer. Can I buy at trade discount?
We are unable to accept orders through the website from trade customers wishing to order on credit, and/or at trade discount. Please use your normal channel for placing orders, and you will receive your normal discount.
- I am a School or Institution customer. How do I order on my School account?
We are unable to accept orders through the website from institutions wishing to order on credit, and/or at bulk discount. Please contact your usual bookstore to place an order.
